Job descriptionJob Details: Reference Number : HO029 Job Title : Divisional Communication Specialist, SARS Position Reports to : Senior Manager: Communications Division : Reputation Management Department : Internal Communications Location : Head Office Salary : R458,146.00 pa Job Purpose: Responsible for the full spectrum of all the internal and external communication in support of the relevant division’s strategies, objectives and goals. Provide strategic consultative support to the relevant leadership Duties: · Develop and implement: o A divisional communication strategy and business plan, in collaboration with the relevant Group Executive , in line with overall SARS strategic objectives as well as to support the division’s objectives and goals o Development of content for internal and external communication products o Feedback mechanisms to provide opportunities for two-way communication within the division and with external stakeholders o A divisional communications budget, to ensure that all activities are planned and funded · Oversee and edit all the division’s communication content to ensure accurate · reporting and content quality is adhered to · Provide communication support across the division according to the specific needs of · the division’s stakeholders · Adhere to SARS policies, standards and procedures, to ensure consistency in · application across the division · Manage the performance of staff members and identify training needs, to ensure that · staff members achieve their performance objectives · Assist with special/ ad hoc communication assignments · Manage divisional communication projects · Liaise with the other divisional communication specialists to ensure technical · Alignment Knowledge & Skills: · Communication skills [written & oral] · Interpersonal skills · Computer literacy · Management skills · Facilitation skills · Project management skills Strategy development Education & Experience : At least a 3-year Communications degree/diploma Experience : 5 to 7 years communications experience with a focus on strategy development and implementation Employment Equity The Employment Equity policy of SARS will be considered as part of the recruitment and selection process.
